LDSP is a C++ software environment to hack Android phones and program them as low-level embedded audio boards. Conceptually, it starts from concepts such as technological disobedience (Ernesto Oroza), Techno-Vernacular creativity (Tratenberg, Albuquerque, Calegario), Infra-intruments (Bowers, Archer) and the notion to repair and reusing as part of the creative cycle proposed by Jackson Steven. It is currently being developed by a team with Victor Zappi, from NorthEaster University, and independent researcher Carla Tapparo, in academia. During this two day workshop, of around 6-8 hours, we will configure LDSP to be used on a rooted phone, try instruments and create our own applications. A third day will be dedicated for a talk regarding a work in progress ‘Karaoke for Dead Birds’ using this technology and to gather some feedback into what could be developed.

Transdisciplinary artist working through sound, text and video. Born in Argentina/1991, currently based in Italy. Bachelor and Professor degree in Fine Arts, Drawing orientation, Facultad de Artes, Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina; Master of Arts in the Public Sphere, summa cum laude, édhèa, Switzerland with the Hans Boerg Wyss Scholarship. Work has been exhibited/ performed in Argentina, Ireland, Germany, Poland and Switzerland. As an independent researcher has participated and written for conferences such as NIME 2023 and 2022, and DAFx 2023 alongside Victor Zappi with papers like ‘Bodily Awareness through NIMES: deautomatising music making processes’. LDSP je C++ softversko okruženje koje služi za hakiranje i programiranje Android telefona kao audio uređaja. Temelji se na konceptima kao što su tehnološka neposlušnost (Ernesto Oroza), tehnovernikalna kreativnost (Tratenberg, Albuquerque, Calegario), infra-instrumenti (Bowers, Archer) te ideje da su popravljanje i ponovna uporaba dio kreativnog procesa (Jackson Steven). LDSP trenutno razvija tim koji čine Victor Zappi na Sveučilišta NorthEaster i slobodna istraživačica Carla Tapparo. Tijekom dvodnevne radionice u trajanju 6 - 8 sati, konfigurirat ćemo LDSP za upotrebu na rootanom telefonu, isprobati instrumente i stvoriti vlastite aplikacije. Treći dan će biti posvećen razgovoru o radu u nastajanju pod nazivom "Karaoke for dead birds" i prikupljanju povratnih informacija o korištenju ovakve tehnologije.
